I Miss My Bike

Well as most of you know Last week wednesday I took my bike in to get it looked at and fixed with the hot start issue. I took it in because where I live, if the owner see's you working on a vehicle they will evict you unless you have a garage, which I dont. They told me the problem was that the starter end cap was cracked through and that they were going to weld up the crack.
At first they said by monday my bike should of been done, now they are saying either Friday or saturday. Damnit I Want My [email protected]#*ing bike back.

Was the same way when I took my bike into the shop. Didn't get it back until 3 days after they said it should be done.
This is a busy time of the year for most shops.
Here's to hoping ya get the hot start issue fixed

Thanks I really hope that the startor end cap was causing me the problem. I dont want to spend a half an hour just to fill up the bike LOL. BTW Where should I set the leve of my shocks I am 6'4" @ 260 lbs. Should they both be the same?

I would set both shocks at 2 for comfort riding and 3 for the twisties. Experiment with different settings. You will feel if it is bottoming out.

Well good news. Today I am leaving work early and picking up the bike. They called and said they had to put a new startor in since now the whole thing cracked through. But they found a used one so my total bill is not that much.
Me so happy. Just hope the Bike will start when it is hot.

Miss Riding....

I hear ya. This week, I am struck with a pinched nerve that significantly limits my mobility. I have 'peeked' in the garage just to look at the bike several times, and even debated hat if I could just throw my leg over the seat...
Nah, better not try it.

So, rack a few extra miles for me this week and I'll get them back when I can.

Ride on. I'll be back in the saddle soon!

If you have the old one, I would like to get it for parts. I might even have a new end cap laying around.

thanks...

My experience with motorcycle shops has taught me never to believe how long they say it will take to fix it. I always add at least three days to what they say and it's usually about right. This time of year it'seven worse. My bike has been on the waiting list for the last two weeks and probably won't be in for another two weeks. At least I have a pretty good idea that it will be fixed this time. I've given up on the local Kawasaki dealer, all they can do is scratch their heads and say " I dunno".

So being without a bike won't happen go me. . .I'm lookin for two more vn750
's. Thinking about selling my KLR650 dual sport, just don't want to put up with repairing tube type tires anymore.
