Sold my VN750 bought a sporster

Well after only 7 months she's gone. Sold my vulcan yesterday. Bought a 2008 Sportster 883 2 weeks ago so had to help recoup the cost. I think it ended up in a good place though. Some guy had to sell his bike earlier this year, and his best friend bought my vulcan for the guy so they could still ride together.

I'm curious if there are other members who have gone down the same road I did, going from VN750 to XL883...

edit - sorry, completely forgot to put a pic. only one I have is from the dealer lot...

Well that is the one I like the most. I like thin and chopperish. Not a big fan of the hog look. I'm surprised no one has come out with something more similar to the Vulcan because I get tons of comments from people about the lines.

Oh and is there an ear shave for that thing :-)?

Check this out

^That's pretty cool, I love the paint. I'd lose the sissy bar but that's just IMO...

Yeah, a couple here have done that. None more famously, or stylishly, than Old Dog. I'm sure he'll chime in. Hey, post a pic of your new ride man!

Old Dog traded his VN for a sportster.

I'm kinda done with cruisers, but the Sportster is the only HD I'd ever consider buying.

An sure you two will be happy.

Congrats davidfite1978 - let us know how you like it.

And pics would be nice

Not to sidetrack this thread David - but to KM - just curious why the Sportster is the only HD you like.

Cause they are small and simple, basic bikes. .... I don't care for the big Harleys ...or the ones that are way over priced.

I did read that they now have some "new" bikes, have added ABS to some models and have a water cooled one now?
Still big expensive things though, I just like the simplicity of the little Sportster.
