How are these floorboards mounted on the bike?

The knifemaker style floorboards are mounted to the stock footpeg brackets. You remove the rubber piece that's there - and mount the floorboards.

I made my own and love em. Little bit of time and some scrap aluminum, and all of a sudden ya have footroom. <g>

Any advantages of the kaw floorboards over KM style?

Did you win those floor boards of of Ebay last night?

It looks like those after market boards are a little more horizontal than the knifemaker boards.

If you don't have floorboards, you don't know what you're missing! Those KM (inspired) floorboards are worth their weight in gold. I don't know if he's got another production run going, but you folks that don't have any, really should give him a shout! They will change your riding experience and comfort more than you could imagine.

Aha! So you were the one that beat me out in the last second!

That's ok, you are forgiven. I have a set of the Fire and Steel Floorboards on my bike. My plans were to use the extra set to have the mounting brackets copied so I could make up some additional ones using the Markland floorboards.

Plainsrider.. the floorboards that were on ebay are not aftermarket, They are the original Fire and steel floorboards from Kawasaki that were discontinued some time ago. Yes they are a bit more horizontal since they follow the line of the bottom frame. They use an approx. 3" hinge that allows them to flip up.
