Speedo?

Howdy all. Newbie here and wonderin what's the deal with the speedo? If I'm doing 40mph (stock tires) what is it really? Seems to be pretty inacurate towards the low end.

Thanks...

I noticed the same thing this last weekend. I checked it with a GPS and my speedo was off. The weird thing was it was off by 5 mph in the lower speeds and 10 mph in the higher speeds. So now I run 75 - 80 mph on the speedo to hit that 65 - 70 mph sweet spot. Does anyone know if there is a fix to this problem?
