So I walked into a Kawasaki dealer today.....

No I didn't buy anything, just wanted to see what was up.

The 900 Classic did not impress me at all.

The Meanstreak however did. Thats a pretty nice ride. The list is $ 11,100 plus all the bs. They have a black one (very nice) and a red accented version (not so nice).

The seating wasn't quite right, handlebars too far forward for my liking. The gauges were very nice, two round ones, tach and speedo. Very substantial machine, I would own one, but not now.

Anyone ever ridden one?

Jon

As for the 900, I've never really looked too closely at them. Not the style I like.

And with the MeanStreak, well, it doesn't do much for me. But then again, like the 900, I haven't really looked at these either.

I like my 750 just fine.

Did you check out the new 900 custom???IMO this is a real nice bike, not as sporty as the Meanstreak but a whole lot better then the classic!!!I have two friends that work at the local Kawasaki dealer and they said they ride real nice and the power is great.

I am sorry, I meant the Custom. I was very unimpressed by it. Belt drive?
Just did not look up to the design and manufacturing standards of the 1600's and for that matter the other 900's there.

It just looks like another me too cruiser now. Our Vulcans are different, and I like that.

i dunno, everybody obviously has his own taste but when i see the 900 custom... mmm... lets just say that in my opinion that front wheel is absolutley out of place. sort of like looking at a car with one rim that mismatched...
but it is good thing they make so many different bikes.

I've only seen it on the web so far not in person. But by what you guys have said I might not like it as much once I see it in person.I'm not ready to give up my 750 anyway!!And when I was talking about the power and ride I ment the meanstreak,And I have seen the red accented Meanstreak and I have to agree not impressive at all.

i'm probably going to be giving my dad my vn750 sometime this summer as a gift.... then i will be buying a new bike most likely. we'll see..... i've been looking at the 900's both classic and custom and i really like them. i think they look really cool. they seem to be more comfortable than my 750 for my
6'5" self. the price is pretty nice as well. i've also sat on the suzuki m50s and c50s which are both nice as well.

My brother has a 900 classic, & I took it for a spin this past weekend. I thought it handled very well, but I'm on the fence about the styling. I looked hard at the 900 custom at Biketoberfest, but I don't like the front wheel. If it had the 750's front wheel, I think I'd like it better. Just my 2 cents.
