Too Windy?

The winds today are around 32mph with gusts over 45. I'm not comfortable riding on a day like today. Does anyone ride on days like today when the have a choice?

With a choice no.
If I get stuck on the road, hold on and lean into the wind.
It is the gust's that I don't like.

Ditto, given the choice, I'd go with 4 wheels.

Ditto the ditto.
Wind isn't a friend of bikes. If I didn't have a choice, I'd try to choose a route with mostly head or tail winds, and avoid as much of the side winds as possible.
If you do find yourself having to ride in very windy conditions, just be careful you don't over compensate for a gust and end up loosing control due to the action of the wind no longer pushing on ya.
It's kinda like riding on gravel, ya have to keep control, but let the bike have some freedom to move as it will, while still going in the direction you want to go.

Around here, days like that are usually accompanied by lots of rain which I definitely don't like. If I'm riding along and run into some gusts, I usually shift back in the seat, lean forward a little and hang on.

With gust like that, if I cannot get 4 wheels or home very soon, I slow down below the speed limit. I cannot control or predict the gusts but I can slow myself down so I can compensate even more.

If I get some 4 wheelers pissed, too bad, my life is at stake. Its not that I don't care but they don't have a clue what I'm up against.

That's where the emergency blinkers are a nice feature and come in handy.
Atleast it'll give the 4 wheeled drivers notice that you're not in a hurry, even if they are.
I'll also use the blinkers if stuck riding in a hard rain, for added visability.
Not many other bikes out there let ya do that !!!
