Lost key

I have a 2003 vulcan 750, my daughter lost my only key to the bike.Can a Kawasaki dealer make a new key with the vin number,? need some advice,other than dont let your daughter have your bike key.thanks

That's unlikely to be the case, what you may have to do it to replace the pins on the lock cylinder and get the new key for it. Your local Kawasaki dealer should be able to get this done... do ask around... they could let you know what they can do...

There was an ignition w/keys on ebay. Not sure if it's still going on though.
But like Wwmkwood said, a locksmith should be able to make a key, providing you remove the ignition switch. You may be able to use the tool box lock instead, but I'm not positive on that.

The tool box, helmet locks, gas cap and ignition all use the same key but at different levels. The ignition key is the one that uses the entire key length I believe. But a good lock smith should be able to make one. Get a spare done while you are at it!
