Met a new Texas VN750 rider today

Was getting my sandwich at a drive through and saw a 750 exactly like mine parked and loaded down at the chicken place next door, so I pulled over there and parked next to it to eat my lunch. A guy named Tommy from Corpus Christi came out and we talked for quite a while. He's on a trip and of course I was envious. Told him about the forum and about the splines. He'd never heard of either. Maybe he'll join us soon. Real nice guy. We looked at the map and I showed him where a few of the rides are around here.

Went on an 80 mile ride yesterday evening. Been gone on a hunting/fishing trip for a week so it was GREAT to get back on the Vulcan, especially in this perfect riding weather!

I knew it was bow hunting season, so I wasn't surprised when you disappeared for a while. Should have gotten his last name so SkyRider could give him a visit.

Yeah, I thought about that on my way back to work. Oh well. Maybe he'll show up here.

Yup, bow season and hot last week, as usual. Deer were camping with us, just not in the woods we were hunting in.

Can't beat the Texas weather to ride in. I just made a trip to Corpus Christi from my home in San Antonio on Saturday and loved it.

Corpus is small enough I may even run in to him on one of my commutes unless he stays way off the main roads. There's really only one or two main arteries in or out of the city unless he lives on Padre Island or something.
The riding weather out here has been great!!

If you see an older guy with a pair of light brown coveralls and a black ff helmet on a black and silver 750, it's probably him. That's his winter outfit.
