longer speedo cable for my vn750.

i have an 86 vn750, and in the process of chopping and bobbing it out i got a tank off a 96 vn800 (because i like the tank mount gauges and it adds more of an aggressive look i.m.o.) the only problem ive run into with that is now the stock speedo cable isnt long enough. does anyone know of a way to find one thats about 4'' longer? the stock 750 cable was about 40''. i was thinking of maybe trying a speedo cable off the 96 but i cant find out how long that one is. any advice or insight will be greatly appreciated.

All of the VN750 speedo cables should be the same length as there were hardly any changes to the model from 1986 to 2006

All VN750 speedometer cables are the same. If you can't find one from another model that will fit, try Motion Pro. They make a lot of cables in custom lengths.
