Houston, TX - Mechanic Referral Requested

My son is moving to Houston in 2012. He wants to know if any of you know of a quality motorcycle mechanic in that town. Any ideas? Thanks!!!

Kinda depends on the bike, Charlie. For Kawasakis, Kawasaki of Pasadena has finally gotten a pretty decent machanic. Highlands, just east of me, used to be the best around, but they got out of the motorcycle business early last year.

There's a fairly new outfit north of town in Cleveland, Cleveland Powersports, that I'd suggest he check out. It's a 45-50 minute drive from downtown, but the owner rides a Meanstreak and a Triumph Rocket III, and his son has/had a '03 1500 Classic. I've talked to him a couple times, and he seems to know his stuff; haven't heard a thing bad about the place, either.

There's another place near me that's good with older stuff, but he's so busy he stays behind, and he ain't exactly cheap, either.
