Talking Your "dream" bike. Pick 5.

If you had countless resources, and countless dollars, which 5 bikes would be your "dreambikes" ?...
...and yes, you can own all 5....

Mine:

1) A custom full-dress Harley touring type by Arlen Ness.
2) A 45 CI 40's military VL that I could just putt on.
3) An old Bultaco Matador, fully restored.
4) A vintage German military BMW
5) I wanna say my Vulcan, but no....gotta be an original Harley Servicar, complete with beer cooler in the back !!!

....these are "dreambikes" mind you...so let imaginations run wild !

I'm too inexperienced to choose dreambikes... but I'd like to try out:

Yamaha R6/R1

Triumph Rocket III

Ducati... 1198SP? probably... I'd probably choose the 848 if I was actually going to buy one, but since I'm just saying I wanna try them out... I'd say both! lol

Victory Vegas 8-Ball! Love the looks and I'd love to see if I like the ride as well!

Yamaha FJR 1300... read lots of good stuff about this bike, I'd love to try it out!

My picks are definitely leaving out some great iconic bikes, but like I said, I dunno enough about bikes to really know what I'm saying here lol. In any case, I'd be really happy to try out those bikes I mentioned

cool !

Interesting choices, so far !
Ceal...trumpets are great ! the old Rockets are classics !
Angell...the Pan and the Chief....my kinda guy ! But pans and knucks forever...*weg*
And OldDog...I used to race a 250 Pursang (or was it a 360 open)...back in the late 70's (the Maicos began taking over)...even had lunch with jim pomeroy(factory racer) at Unadilla, NY...I raced the whole NY AMA circuit....I just wanted the Matador, because I had one but was a rat. I wanted one street legal, lol. My buddy raced an Ossa...Towards the end I raced a 125 suzuki RM also (2 classes, 125/250)...that lasted a year. Wasnt the Mick Andrews a trials bike ? i never could manage that stuff...
Thanks for replies guys...hope to read more !

PS, I wouldnt mind having a mint '68 441 BSA Victor either...I chopped and bobbed mine, lol. No regrets though, me an my now wife spent many miles on it (my daughter may have been conceived on it). i found one locally for 2.5k...but....

Exclamation

First off, bought my "dream bike"....my 2006 Yamaha FJR 1300. AWESOME bike...very happy.

To fill out 4 more spots?

2. An early Ducati Desmo SS

3. (for the wife) A 2005 MV Augusta Brutle. Will just hang it on the wall...

4. A BMW S 1000 RR.

I would of course like to ride an R6... which was the bike I almost bought instead of the VN 750.

I wouldn't mind trying out a V Strom...the 650 that is.

I'd love to have a Bonniville, the Norton Commando I no longer own.

And one if those Jet bikes like Leno has......

* Indian Chief Cruiser, love the lazy eyelid fenders.
*BMW. HP2 Eduro, 100+ horsepower to explore...quickly lol.
* vintage Triumph Thunderbird 750 Bullet Falcon bobber, just look at it.
*early thirty's Henderson Four. Straight 4cyl, manual spark advance. Very cool just to have...and fun to try and get it going down the street smoothly. There's just something I like about it.
* Boss Hoss... what the hell, you only live once, and that could be a final statement on this thing! Stupid fast.

Dave

Ha, ha, something tells me we're gettin old...lol... Yes, the Ossa Mick Andrews was a trials bike, I didn't ride it but a little, due to a back injury and the way back pegs which gave you the forward lean, killed my back, (I couldn't manage it either...lol...) so I wound up tradin it for the 250 Bultaco Pursang, which worked out for me...
And yep, the Maicos were hot back then, so were the CZs and Huskys and Suzukis, also the Kawasakis and Hondas got strong in the game...
Oh, I almost forgot, I did manage to burst that unbreakable skid plate on the Ossa...
Have a good one...Old Dog...

Yes. If you change this to "if you were 21 years old again, what 5 bikes would you want?" you'd get different answers .....
