gaskets

which way does the smooth side go when installing gaskets. ie cylinder case gasket, head gasket. im thinking the smooth side goes up but i may be wrong. any help would be appreciated

ok after i got to work i figured hey dumb a$$ they probably only fit one way.

Yup. But just in case, the head gaskets have a raised edge on them - you'll be able to see how they fit (pretty sure the raised edge fits into the crankcase side) once you pull the cyl heads off.
