My 1st 10,000 miles

Well, finally got my own 10,000 miles on the bike, bought it with 12,200 and just passed 22,200 on my way into work tonight. It's been a great ride the past 3 year with virtually no problems. Came across a wiring short the 1st year and replaced the clutch cable the 2nd year. Other than regular maintenance that's about it! Only mods have been degoated, Plexistar windsheild (not pictured), Chrome coolant resevior cover, rear turnsignal relocation brackets, saddle bag supports and hard bags, Corbin seat and the oversize Metzler 880's I put on last year, I'm averaging 48-50 mpg right now. Still looking at new grips and possibly V&H Cruzers in the future.

OK, here's the coolant cover...

And here's the Plexistar windshield.
I also figured out that if I was driving my Truck just another 3,000 per year instead of the bike, I would have used up 125 gallons of gas and spent $450 more to fill up. I have a much shorter commute to work now, otherwise I would have gotten there a lot sooner! I also work 2 jobs now and most of my riding is back & forth to work instead of cruising on the weekends.

Great lookin' ride. Your hard bags are similar to mine. Although I removed mine for the time being as they need a tlc overhaul. Mine had chrome tubes around them that I ditched. Anyway, wishing you another safe, trouble free 10k and more. Take care.
Dave.
