Question How Long for Parcel Post Delivery?

Hi, All -
I've sent out a couple of items recently via USPS parcel post because it's still affordable for unwieldly package sizes. Fender in one box, saddle in another. Not sure if the fender's been received yet (hogg, anything?), but Keyman hasn't received the saddle after 10 business days (incl. Saturdays). Anyone have an idea of what's "normal" for the slow-boat method of shipment? I can't remember the last time I shipped anything parcel post, so I'm not familiar with what all can go wrong.

Thanks in advance for any advice/thoughts!

Usps

I shipped an Item to Keyman and the post office told me that it would take a week Parcel post. That was from Illinois. The post office should be able to give you an idea of the time it will take. I always think it is a good idea to put tracking on packages.

I think it is usually in within the week (+/- 7 days) with those boxes they have, but I'll bet it takes longer with something as big as a saddle...

Seems like parcel post is supposed to take from 2-9 days, but it's not guaranteed that it will get there within that time, so I'd wait a few more days and if it doesn't show up, call the post office.

I sent a member here a tail light when I parted my bike out a couple years back. To the best of my knowledge, it STILL hasn't arrived.

For large items, I go with UPS ground for the tracking, cause there is no way the USPS is going to try and find a lost box sent parcel post.

Thanks for your responses! Keyman, looks like we're getting close to D-Day. If nothing by the time you get your mail on Weds., I'll refund your $$ and see if I can get them to look around a little bit 'tween here and Maine.
