Lightbulb Burley Brand on a 86' 750 vulcan

I'm wanting to put some 14" apes and a lowering kit. Love the burly brand stuff but they say its only tested on harleys and yamahas. My question is as long as they line up and are same diameter they should work right?

Here's the specs on the apes.
Height:14"
Width:32.5"
Pull back:7"
Ctr width:5"
Tube diameter:1"

The shocks fit on sportys so they should work On
My 1986 750 Vulcan right?

Any suggestions on other brands that are proven that r just as cool? I want all my stuff in black.
