Rides Great Except for

When I get in stop and go traffic my bike likes to die. Not sure why? The thing runs and starts great just this one issue. I figured I check the vacuum hoses first. Looking for some suggestions. Thanks!

Vacuum leak... a good place to start, or Try Seafoam in Fuel tank. Stop n' Go traffic...heat issues ?? Hows your fluid levels ?

Well, if your battery is charging properly, and the bike is dying in stop and go traffic, but not at stops spaced further apart ... Then it sounds like a heat issue or a jetting problem.

Have you adjusted your fuel/air screws? Have you installed iridium plugs?

If your idle circuit is running a bit rich, it might be fouling your plugs at low rpm running from the slow traffic environment .

Or your charging system is not running efficiently due to higher temps and low rpms.

Have you relocated your R/R? Running regular gas?

Does it die early on in a ride during stop and go traffic or only after heating up a bit? Does it die when sitting still (in the driveway or garage) while simulating stop and go (revving and releasing)? These answers could help us help you determine if it is an overheating or carb issue.

It dies after heating up and it's more of an issue on hot days. Ok I had to edit this, things got away from me here hunting and pecking. Not sure what plugs are in the bike but I have iridium plugs to put in. Haven't done it yet. I do use regular gas and usually add a shot or two of seafoam.

It will restart right away but I either have to go full throttle or use choke.

Air filters in good shape? If you tend to have to choke it or better words, enrich the mix to get it to start when hot, it sounds like too much air getting in, i.e. vacuum leaks or filters ripped up... Just fishing for info...
