phew,,them slines !!!

Having owned my vn 750 for 9 years now (model..1992 A8 usa) and never knowing (untill i found this site !) that you had to remove the final drive and grease them splines. Im in the uk,,bike imported here in 96 from cali. Anyway. Today i decided to look into these demon splines,,i am not mechanical minded but i found the job very easy after reading fergies instructions (cheers to that guy) and was delighted to see my splines still greased and looking well. i was dreading looking in there !. i still need to put it back together when i get the grease its very expensive here in the uk for a honda moly 60 substitute,,33 for 500g. (fuchs brand). My advice to anyone who is worrying about taking a look at their splines is dont worry its an easy job for anyone,,and it dont take long either. great site is this for learning things i never knew. thanks all for the help and advice you give on here.

yup! one of the first things I did was to print out Fergy's write up about the spline lube! I still have the that print out and I keep out in the garage and use it every time I lube the splines! it's a great write up! thank you very much Fergy!

if it goes vroom or boom, I LIKE IT!
