safe cruising rpm

Hye guys another noob question, what is a safe cruising rpm?

1992 vn750, 16000 miles
seat shaved , lowered 2 inches in rear, ears shaved, degoated, cpanel is gone just a drag specialties 2.5" speedo
awaiting some pipes

'86 VN750 13,700 mi -Stock
-Purchased 2008 w/8800mi
Replaced ALL Cables . Kuryakyn LED Voltmeter
SilverStar Ultra 9003/HB2 H4 Headlamp, Jardine Fwd Controls,
Iridiums DPR7EIX-9 & Wires, Tuxedo Mod, Coil Mod, P/U Sensor Mod, Fork Seals,
Splines Lubed - 11/4/2012 - MF AGM Battery
Additional Flashing LED Brake Light on Trunk
Dampers went out @ 13+K !
After TOC MCCT's..... so amazingly quiet I discovered a rattling heat shield on my stock exhaust !
...have a vulcan good day!

Safe?


Anything over 2,600 and anything under redline... 3-4 is normal putzing around speed. After 5200 rpms your fuel gets eaten alot faster.

Ahh sweet guys, thats where it fealt good, but being new to this I figured it couldnt hurt to ask.

Yeah but this bike's engine really starts waking up and asking "Hey, what's going on?" around 4-5K.

It'll happily sit at 7k rpm all day long. But like Knifemaker said, that eats gas faster.

The journey is the destination.
