Neglect will get you no where...

I had to share this story, I bought a bike and got a great deal on it, because somebody didn't take care of their toys. https://www.vn750.com/forum/album.php?albumid=342

BTW anybody know what a good asking price is for this year size and condition? I was thinking 2400. Thanks for looking.

Appreciate the info, I just sold my 1986 VN750 with a home style paint job for 1400, and it had 40xxx miles. I just figured with the comparison it seemed about right, I will see if I get any responses from CL.

They are being listed for around that amount here, but I can't tell that they are selling. I have a friend trying to sell his really nice 95 for $2600 since last Fall. No takers.

The title on those pictures say the bike is a 1991 model, but the black tank with a red ribbon along the bottom makes it appear to be a 1986 model when combined with the aluminum colored engine. 1985 models had the same tank color combination, but a black engine.

Here is a picture with the correct factory colors on the tank for the 1990 and `91 models.

I was thinking the same thing since my bike is an 86 with the same color scheme. I would offer no more than $1500.

I would say 1500 should be my bottom line then. I appreciate your input. Just asking, if a title says the bike is a 91 is there reason to believe it could be older? Not trying to be facetious, just not sure.
