air box & cover question

Got a question here. I am replacing parts on my bike that need to be replaced. i am searching ebay for airbox and cover. I notice that the ad's say left or right cover. Arent the airbox and cover the same on both sides? will a 85 vn750 set work on a 94 vn750?

Also i need help Identifying a small cover that's suppose to be located about 1 inch next to the coolant tank. The cover should be about 2 inches round. What is this cover called so I can buy one.

thank you so much. I searched for a few days trying to find what the cover is called. Do you know if the airbox covers from older vn750's will fit a 94. they all look the same to me.

sometimes known as the SWING ARM pivot cap, Costs about $10-12 from stealship. (edit:stealership)
Attach it with a little silicone sealant to prevent future loss.

Ok, now he will be googling "Ma Kawi".... lol And it is "Ma Kaw" BTW...no "i"...

A "stealership" is the authorized dealership of whatever make of car, boat, truck, or motorcycle you own. .. Because they sell many parts that should cost about a quarter of what they charge for them, they are thus "stealing your money"...hence the slang term, "stealership"..

Your google search would have worked had Olhoss spelled it correctly in his post:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...rm=stealership

Sorry just never heard of these slang terms before in my area. I found airboxes on ebay for 15.00 for the set with free shipping. Found these on ebay after a person on this site wanted 40.00 for a set that was painted black and looked like crap. Also I went to the "stealership" and ordered the cap. Thanks for letting me know the name of the cap I couldn't find it in a service manual and then I located it to order it in the battery compartment page. who would of known.
thanks for all your help!
