I found a 1995 vn750 really close to where i live. here is the craigslist ad, i wanna know what you guys think. http://lynchburg.craigslist.org/mcy/2214801291.html The bike does have 29,000 miles. Since several members here have put 100,000+ miles on their bikes, you can use that to decide how many miles is too much.

He does have after martket exhaust and what appears to be a custom seat. My Mustang seat is much more comfortable than the stock seat.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Looks like a good deal to me. Aftermarket seat, pipes, and earshave....that I can see.
If it were closer to me, I would look at it!

Sound like it could be a good deal to me too.
Find out if he has maintenance and service records for it.
Have the rear splines between the drive shaft and pinion gear on the final drive been lubed with high moly grease at every tire change or every 10K miles?

Here`s a link to a used bike check in the Vulcan verses. Read it over and look at your dads bike to familiarize yourself with the parts you want to check on the new bike.

Research the ACCT and grambo trick. Listen for noise when examining bike.
Take voltmeter to check charging system. Quick check -you want ~ 14.5v at the battery terminals at 3500+ rpm.

If the voltage checks out as stated, you looked it over and like the bike it sounds like an ok deal to me, just be cautious on the purchase and ridin after...lol... Since you are only 18 though, what does pop think, listen to him also, he knows you, and owns one himself...
