Here`s a link to Bike Bandit with 3 filters less than $40. (~$36, $33 and $18).

If that is still too high priced for you, measure the dimensions of your filter and take them into an auto parts store and start looking through a catalogue.

Well if I was going to spend that much I would probably look at a K&N air filter that can be cleaned lubed and re-used, I am going to check on one for my Sportster SE at O'reilly's... Pretty free breathing as I understand...

I bought a K&N knock off washable cone filter, removed it from it's cone, cut the paper element out of my Honda Rebel filter housing and siliconed the washable filter in it's place. Now I have a filter that can be cleaned and don't have to pay Honda an outrageous sum for their OEM filter. And Honda is the only supplier I could find!

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Garage
check out the NAPA SME line of filters... you should be able to find a foam filter that will fit over the stock mesh screen for around 10-15 bucks... just take in your oem filter (with out ears) and tell them you need to size match.
