Question Lookin at New Saddlebags, what do y'all think...???

I,m looking to up grade my saddlebags and get a bit more room, I have the zip off Tourmaster slant bags (16"x10"x6") for 960 x 2 = 1920 cu. in., this is the 3rd bike I have had them on and have been pretty well satisfied, except I would like a bit more room, and I think they stick out too much, so here is what I am looking at... http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...k-Cutaway.aspx ...As they are (17.5"x12.5"x6.5") for 1,422 x 2 = 2,844 cu. in., almost 1,000 cu. in. larger by my simple but incomplete measurements, but I don't know how much the shock cutout will deduct from that total, but I don't think it would be a lot... I will remove the HD bag struts and use the (Saddlemen) S4 Quick disconnect mounting system, and am thinking letting them snug into the bike will make for a better looking set-up... http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...stner-Kit.aspx ...Anyone using this setup...??? Knowledge and or opinions please... Thanks......
Thanks and have a good one...Old Dog...

It's fixed ,I can see them.

Those are good looking bags to my way of thinking,I ran a set of the Tourmaster zip off ,bags on my750 They were well made but i didn't like the look of them much either, and bought a set of Viking bags that were bigger and came with hard mounts or the throwover yoke. They were considerably less than those bags but I like those better.I looked at the Fire and Steel bags for my 1500 and can buy a lot bigger hard bag with mounts from Mutazu for 100 dollars less.

If you want leather bags those look good and are about as big as you would want on your Sporty,I have bought other Saddlemen products and have always been satisfied with the quality.I bought a Saddlemen seat cover replacement for my old ATV ,which has seen much use and still looks good.

Bottom line is do you like 'em and if you do,I'd buy them they probably are well made,Denny Ray

Well after starting to order I find I need one more part, http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...-Brackets.aspx
and that puts the total cost to 207+90+45= $342, and makes me want to go back to square 1 which was out of stock everywhere I checked, http://www.leatherup.com/p/Motorcycl...ags/56146.html
Maybe I will just wait and forget about the wide load and go with this much cheaper route, its 19"x 12"x 6"=1,368x 2 = 2,736 cu. in., quite a bit bigger than mine...lol...

Hard to beat the price on that last set! Those Saddlemen bags are sure sharp though. River Road makes some nice bags for much better prices than the Saddlemen bags... You might do some searches for River Road and see what comes up...

Yeah I saw that too ,I don't think that is correct or any body will buy em at that price anyway. Look to the right of them for the $105 charger style bags there are several tabs on top look at the prices on the other bags.Any body that pays that much foe GA 's deserves them. I think OLD Dog is smarter than that

P.S. after looking at that again I am pretty sure it's a misprint, the List price they show is cheaper than the discount
