I,m looking to up grade my saddlebags and get a bit more room, I have the zip off Tourmaster slant bags (16"x10"x6") for 960 x 2 = 1920 cu. in., this is the 3rd bike I have had them on and have been pretty well satisfied, except I would like a bit more room, and I think they stick out too much, so here is what I am looking at... http://www.motorcycle-superstore.co...-Desperado-Saddlebags-with-Shock-Cutaway.aspx ...As they are (17.5"x12.5"x6.5") for 1,422 x 2 = 2,844 cu. in., almost 1,000 cu. in. larger by my simple but incomplete measurements, but I don't know how much the shock cutout will deduct from that total, but I don't think it would be a lot... I will remove the HD bag struts and use the (Saddlemen) S4 Quick disconnect mounting system, and am thinking letting them snug into the bike will make for a better looking set-up... http://www.motorcycle-superstore.co...t-Saddlebag-Docking-Post-and-Fastner-Kit.aspx ...Anyone using this setup...??? Knowledge and or opinions please... Thanks...:beerchug:...
Thanks and have a good one...Old Dog...

Well after starting to order I find I need one more part, http://www.motorcycle-superstore.co...men-Universal-Saddlebag-Support-Brackets.aspx
and that puts the total cost to 207+90+45= $342, and makes me want to go back to square 1 which was out of stock everywhere I checked, http://www.leatherup.com/p/Motorcyc...with-Conchos-Motorcycle-Saddlebags/56146.html
Maybe I will just wait and forget about the wide load and go with this much cheaper route, its 19"x 12"x 6"=1,368x 2 = 2,736 cu. in., quite a bit bigger than mine...lol...

Hard to beat the price on that last set! Those Saddlemen bags are sure sharp though. River Road makes some nice bags for much better prices than the Saddlemen bags... You might do some searches for River Road and see what comes up...

I've got a set of River Road bags (simulated leather) and really like em'. I've had them on the 750 and now the 900 for 2 years now and they still look good as new. I think I picked them up on comp acc for about $85. BTW, OD I just bought the same saddlebag bracket set from Saddlemen and keep in mind that you may need to add spacers (like I did) to get them to fit properly.
