I don't know what to say.... Leniency for speeding, maybe. let him off for reckless driving, I din't think so. But letting him off after causing serious injury and totaling out a vehicle?!?! No wasy that should happen. I appreciate all who serve in the military, but to use that as a crutch to get out of liability is just wring.

What a croc. I posted a comment on the Tampa website. Im going to start setting money aside for the attorney I hire to sue the pants off of anyone that does this. Thats the only way to get justice.

stuff like this makes me mad as hell, my brother-in-law is in the army and when he was over seas he would go out to bars and start fights with the police and get arrested and his COs would laugh and not make a big deal of it and when he is state side he gets away with alot because the cops see his military ID and let him go, i think this paints a very negative picture of our country, what the hell are we telling people, "if you join up you can do whatever you want!" realy rubs me the wrong damn way.

Stupidest comment ever... taken from that link.

Yes, most of the people that serve their country deserve respect.

No, they do not deserve to have a free ticket to break the law, hurt people and not have to deal with any responsibility at all.

I think this is just wrong, no matter what position they have or what country they are from (I know plenty about it, in my country). Abuse of a position is just something that shouldn't be allowed.

I understand where you are coming from Ceal, but I personally believe heroes do deserve to be cut a bit of slack, but not where injury is involved, and that was more than a bit, and waaaay too much...

Yea, I agree on them deserving respect. And maybe a bit of slack on very minor stuff. But we both agree this is definitely excessive though.
