bike gave me first problem today.

so yeah i was on my way to a friends house and sure enough i am at a light and it just dies and then when i go to start it again.. it just cranks for a few revolutions and then starts clicking (as dead or bad batteries cause it too do) and sure enough i no sooner push it off the street a nice harley biker pulls next to me and asks me if i need a hand or a phone. i say hey thanks i gotta phone but i borrow a screw driver and fiddle with the connectors to see if thats the problem.. and sure enough its not and i didnt have any tools on my to take the friggin seat off, so i called my dad to have him bring me tools and sure as **** the 2 month old new battery was shot.

SOooo i warrantied it thru Autozone and got my stepfather to trailer it back to the house (as not to encure the wrath of towing charges lol)

and got a new battery in and charged it up but cant try it out till tomorrow damn it. lol

X2. There is an occasion to get a junk battery but still test the charging system so you don't have this problem again.

I had a battery go so south in a month this year. It turns out that the battery was actually defective. But I also found the stator leads were loose and getting red hot, so was the white wire with the red stripe for the charging. I replaced the connectors on the stator lead by soldering them which wasnt easy, the wire is coated with something. I twisted the blades on the main fuse slighly as it felt loose, and got a new battery. I will find out this fall if im ok as usually on cold mornings starting the bike sucks the life out of the battery pretty quickly.
