not to rain on anyone's parade or anything, but that's logon names. How many members are there that have been here in the last two years?

I guess I share this concern.

I, too, want to welcome the newbies and agree this is certainly the best forum I've had the pleasure to be on, but at the risk of being a party-pooper, let's take a closer look.

8000+ members?

4985 = number of members never posted!!!!
3906 = number of over a year members and never posted
5391 = number of over a year members with less than 10 posts!!
0269 = number of members who have joined in the last year with more than 05 posts
0175 = number of members who have joined in the last year with more than 10 posts
0097 = number of members who have joined in the last year with more than 20 posts
0012 = number of members who have joined in the last year with more than 100 posts
0188 = number of members who have joined in the last 5 years with more than 100 posts

I wonder how many of the 8000+ have not logged in during the past year? What's the point of numbers if folk are not participating?

Regardless of numerical logistics this site still rocks! Me and the buddy I sold my 750 to have put new pipes on it, got a new seat, put a luggage rack on it, changed the oil, jetted it, replaced the battery, and got new bags for it. It was my first bike and his second so we knew nothing going into it. Literally everything that was done to the bike was possible using this website and this site alone. That's pretty damn cool IMHO...

Yeah, you got that one right. Most people join a forum, then either never post, or post only a few times and disappear. But that is not just here. I belong to or have belonged to over 20 forums, and it has been that way on all of them. But this one does seem to have more posts than most. Does anybody know what the average daily post count is here? Jerry.

I am a motorcyclist, NOT a biker.

Yes, thanks to this site my bike runs GREAT!!

I would never have known the Grambo Trick or anything about ACCTs, Ignition fixes or Spline Lube. Plus several other things I will need to take care of.

I also agree with the Quality over quantity post!

It comes in ebbs and flows, but we generally average close to a hundred posts a day, higher in the summer months, lower in the winter months.
