Bad luck

More of a rant then anything, just anoyed that this happend.

I finaly had plans and the money to git my bike running, since december 5 when it died. Then I had surgerry and couldnt ride for five weeks, then found out the tires were bad, and the batery had to be replaced, then underway to Scotland for six weeks where my registration went past due.

So on the way home from Scotland I saved up the extra pay and was making plans for fixing the bike, until two days befor I puled in to home port when my wife t-boned a car with our '08 kia sportage. also found out our deductable is $1,000.

I go on a six mounth deployment in July so my bike bike will have to wait till January. Thats over a year with out her running. I know I have prioritys with the family car and all but its the middle of sumer and I have a 30 mile comute to work every day and I WANT TO RIDE.

Not only this but our tirp to disny world with our kids while I'm on POM leave might not happen now cause we will have to use most of our savings just to fix the car.

ok im done

That suuucks man, I'm sorry to hear it. You were SO close too!!! Makes me wish I still had my second bike. I'd lend it to someone in the military for a summer no questions asked. I imagine a ride across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge is quite something.

Thanks for your service brother and hang in there - it'll come.

Tanks for the thought of the second bike that would be great! I know the time will come agin and maby when it does there will be more money for some other things I want to do, so it might be worth the wait.
And yes the Chesapeake Bay Bridge is one outstanding ride, A few guys and I made it a weekly ride when I was a geo-bachelor.

Sorry what all is going with you. But, you may want to drain all fuel from carbs and fuel tank.

My advanced training was in Norfolk at the amfib base. Loved it and did the bay bridge tunnel many times. Freaky on a bike in stormy weather (I was riding a pumped up Kaw 500 triple -wicked-).

I hear your pain on budgeting unexpected costs but don't let it get you down or control you. Gain strength from your family and friends - Remember the most important things in life are not 'things'.
