Now is the time to say goodbye etc......

Greetings to one'n'all

Having spent the last year owning and riding a VN750, I have come to the conclusion that it's not for me. It's been a good bike, I've enjoyed playing with it and getting it up to a reasonable condition, but if I'm honest, the cruiser style of bike is not my bag, man. I've gone and bought myself an '88 FJ1200. So I'll be able to start repeating the process of getting rid of the PO's cock ups

I've sold it on to a nice old guy (Len Martin), who previously owned a VZ out in Dubai and couldn't wait to get another now he's back in the UK. I've put him on to the forum and assured him that he'll get a warm welcome from you all should he decide to join.

I'd like to thank lance, kanuk, gemguy, old hoss, old dog, et al for all your help with my problems, technical assistance and all of the other members of the forum for putting up with ignorant cus like me.

Remember, as my old man used to tell me, there are people that say, and people that do. Always try to be one of the latter. Never drink anything green and always wash your willie before going to bed!

May I emphasise at this point that I am not Scottish, being a firm believer in the reconstruction of Hadrians Wall!!!!!!

Love, light & peace

Ride free, stay safe

Regards to all,
Martin

Enjoyed your company and wit. You know you're always welcome here. Not gonna say anything bad about those barbarians to the north; some of 'um were my ancestors!

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Hey Martin, you don't have to leave, stick around everyone is still friends here, they didn't throw me out and I went to a Sportster (Hardly a Hardly but)...lol...
Just think, someday someone will ask why does my bike fart once cough twice and then run smooth for about 5 sec. then die and won't start...???
Then it will come to you, thats exactly how mine acted and no one knew, but then I checked the smoke grinder and it was broken in 3 pieces, fixed it and the bike has run like never before......
There, you are the only person that could help the poor feller and you were gone......lol...
Wish you would stay around, but good luck with whatever you decide......

sorry to hear you have crossed over to the darkside martin. (Sportbikes LOL) All kidding aside, the FJ1200 looks like quite a ride. I hope you enjoy it as much as you think you will. Come back for a visit and let us know how the new love affair goes.
