Thumbs down '98 VN750: need advice

Forumers: Las Vegas. Nice scoot. WAS. Woke up in hospital Oct. 27. They were at fault. Bike towed to tow yard. Must've been laid down.

Picked it up 2 weeks later. Hasn't run since. Will crank; won't even cough. Fuses O.K., ignition lights O.K. Spark check at spark plugs O.K. Won't fire at all. Compression seems O.K. Drained one carb. float bowl.

Removed fuel tank; has 3 nipples; looks like the 3rd nipple goes to a diaphragm that is connected to carburetors.

Acts like fuel clog; put in fuel bottle; don't know about 3rd nipple/hose; is disconnected.

Ideas please.

The petcock is vacuum activated and will not flow fuel unless a vacuum is applied to the central line (probably the one coming off the carb diaphragm and attached to the central nipple on the bottom of the petcock). So hook up that line and see if it will crank. But first, since the gas has been in the tank for so long without fuel stabilizer, I'd get rid of it, get a can of Sea Foam fuel treatment (don't use another brand, they're not the same) add half a can to the tank and fill it with fresh gas.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!
