Smile bowl vent lines

I pulled my seat yesterday and checked the carb vent lines,I think they might have been pinched I run them down by the side of the engine, they would not reach the right side airfilter housing.I rode the bike today, the surge that I had at highway speed is gone, the bike is running excellent.I almost have 400miles on it,every mile it seems to run better.I have a question when you do an earshave where are you running the vent lines, also is there anything out there that will remove the blueing from the exhaust, this is a 05 bike with right at 400 miles on it, the 1st owner let it sit and gum the carbs then tried to run it,of course it waqs lean and blued the pipes,if anyone knows of anything for pipes let me know.

There are two carb vent hoses, joined together with a T fitting, then the single hose is connected to the right ear. IMO, the best way to do it is to get new lines, and run them both, separately, down under the bike somewhere. I never did like T fittings unless they are absolutely necessary, I believe in separate lines for everything. Jerry.
