Vulcan 750 rider down - El Paso

Sergio Hernandez of El Paso died February 21, in a motorcycle accident. Details here:

http://www.ktsm.com/news/man-killed-...ent-identified

The news report described his ride as a "Kawasaki 750" and the photo is clearly that of a VN 750. Does anyone know if he was on this forum?

I hate to hear about this. Helmets are uncomfortable but they do save lives. I wouldn't think about riding without mine.

This man sounds like the real deal. A christian motorcycle ministry rider who was so obviously loved. My heart goes out to the friends and family of this young man. Thank heaven they know that he's in the arms of Christ, the leader of the pack...

Sad to hear...... Evidently a fine much loved person......
I find it hard to believe folks won't wear a helmet, law or no law it is just common sense...
And don't forget electronics break down too, ask Toyota about their accelarators, or me about our kick stand electronics...
Probably shouldn't have said that here but it needed to be said, sorry...
Have a good one....Old Dog....

He used to write for the WOG (Wheels Of Grace) magazine, and will be missed by us all.

For those of you that have not been to El Paso in the past several years... that place is getting to be a dangerous mess for both cages and bikes a like. My wife wouldn't let me get a bike because of so many people dying every day on the roads in cars... not to mention bikes.

That really is a shame, totally avoidable. I hope El Paso can keep the boulders out of the middle of the road now...

Very sad. I lost a friend two weeks ago - riding too fast on a Magna 1100 at night on the interstate. Slow down, wear a helmet, ride to live.

Maybe you want to rethink your aversion to helmets now?

Yes, it's my mid-life crisis.
