Well its time to Shape up or Ship Out---

OK, the other day I took a short ride and when I went to get on my bike I could just hardly throw my leg across the sissy bar, had to grab it with my hand and help get it across, too many clothes, too dang fat, too darn old, or a combination there of......
Anyway I have went from 208 to 228# and that aint muscle gain either...lol...
The too many clothes will take care of its self this spring, the too fat I am going to work on by cutting back on the eating, and I'm a gonna get on my stationary bike and warm up some bearings and hopefully get down to 200# by the time good riding weather comes around... I want to hit the mountain twisties and take some pictures...
Since I quit shooting, I have just let winter make a lay about couch potato out of me, and at 73 its shape up or ship out, and I've got a lot of riding the mountain black tops to do first......
Anyone else feel like me, out of shape and lazy...???????????????
Have a good one...Old Dog...

Good gawd Bro, ever since I switch departments at work I've also gained about 15-20#. I no longer get an 8hr. workoutlike I used to, so now I'm feeling like a fat slob anymore. So yup I'm hearing you crystal clear. I say this as I stuff another piece of fudge into my mouth

"You came out of your mom looking like SHlT. She thought you were beautiful. Don't know what scared me most, your looks or her judgment."

Being same age as Old Dog, I thought I would have to quit riding motorcycles, but found that if you swing your leg forward over front part of saddle, you can prolong your riding life by several more years. Another option is to step up on the left footpeg, giving you several more inches of clearance. Don't modify the body, just modify the bike, you don't need the sissy bar anyway.

57 years experience,Zero accidents. Starting with 1947 Indian Chief. Now VN750 , V65 Magna, Burgman scooter.

I'm only 50 something and I'm starting to feel it. Time to take off the sissy bar to get the leg over and lower the back end a few inches ;-)

I use snowmobile bibs in the winter - felt like I couldn't take in a full breath of air the other day. Ya, time to shed the winter poundage.

Now where's that remote and a beer...

Some exercise is never a bad thing Old Dog. I`m just coming up on 57 years and I`ve gained 20 or 30 pounds sitting around with this bum leg for the past 19 months. I`m a little north of #300 now. I need to get on a bike or treadmill as soon as I can too.

On the other hand, we aren`t out of shape, ROUND is a shape. LOL Take care of yourself my friend.

Good to Hear!!!

Some of the best ways to lose weight is actually to WALK and eat GOOD foods, i.e., no beer, pop, and lots of rice, grapefruit and celery! lol.

GOOD LUCK!

Ol Hoss just stole my line!

Before my crash in March 09, I was about 250 or so geared up. On my most recent doctor visit, I clocked in at 278. And here I thought I accidentally used hot water in the wash...

Now Waggy, you know it makes those younger fellers look old when they drag their foot across the seat and you just rear back and sling your leg across the sissy bar...lol...
