For myself it is access and cost. I hate getting milked just for the priviledge of communicating. Knowledge is power right? I understand though...I am spending money on the internet service and etc....has it really changed or are we the same?
Perhaps the older members of the forum remember the IBM punch cards and oil lamps? (he he) What say you?
Is there a VN750 question in here somewhere?

Rofl!

I think this should be directed to some of the older posts where this has already beed addresses. Then if there's still a question it could be discussed.
(Note the unheard because I'm typing sarcasm! 8)

Yes, this thread should be somewhere else, but it is here for now. Maybe a moderator could move it? As pretty much everybody here knows by now, and everybody who frequents the Yahoo Groups forum definitely knows, I hate most new things, especially when they involve electronic technology. I especially hate it when electronics and mechanics are combined. I am a total purest when it comes to mechanical things. I have been a professional mechanic for 32 years, and an amateur mechanic for much longer than that. Mechanical things, mostly vehicles, are my main, actually my only hobby.

Anyway, as far as the internet goes, I think it is one of the few actually beneficial uses of new technology, and opens up a whole new world that we never had before. It certainly has it's problems, but IMO, the pros outweigh the cons. I don't really have a problem paying for internet service, but absolutely will not pay for TV or radio.

And while I like the internet, I do not like cell phones. They can be handy at times, but the hassle, safety issues, and ridiculous charges that go with them IMO make them simply not worth it. I have one, a pay as you go type, that costs me $20 every 3 months. I keep it mostly for emergencies. Jerry.

I am a motorcyclist, NOT a biker.

I'm afraid we would all miss the internet the second it was gone.

How could we live without IMDB?
