took my 750 for a cruise yesterday

I bought it saturday, it rained on Sunday, so yesterday I had a chance to give my '93 VN750 a shakedown cruise. I went 120 miles around the countryside near Philadelphia, and the only think I didn't love was the grips (they were a little uncomfortable after five hours). Liked it so much I went out again in the evening for a short (15 mile) ride.

I can see why there is so much enthusiasm about the VN750, I LOVE this bike!

If they are the OEM grips, then plain rubbing alcohol will take them off. Peel back the end, pour some in, work it down the grip and pop, they slide right off. No cutting or scraping glue. Use hair spray to hold the new grips on (yes hair spray). Work fast before it sets.

Also, if you plan to ride during the cold months, the consider grip heaters. I put a set of Symtec with a full heat troller and love them.

I just picked up my 93 VN750 on Friday night, however, I have to do carb work on it before I can take mine out for a spin

Thought mine was a low mileage bike at 10k, you really got a nice one!

Btw, what did you pay for yours?

Yep, the Kury's are fine grips, good on the hands and look fabulous! Glad you enjoyed your voyage, there's lots of fun to come!
