NMR: Remembering 9/11

Just got through exchanging some emails with my friend Cheryl in NYC, 8 years later and she still remembers... vividly, even more so than I do, since she is so close to ground zero. She is having a hard time at work as she sits in her office looking over ground zero.
So to all those that lost someone that day, and to all those that rose up to answer the call..
I have not forgotten

Thanks for the reminder Diana. It is hard to believe that it has been 8 years since that day. I pray that God may continue to comfort all those who lost loved ones in all the horrors of 9/11 and the aftermath resulting from it.

I was working EMS in my town that day to cover for the guys that went into the city with our mobile command center to help out with communications after the towers fell. I was on schedule for second shift that turned out to be unnecessary due to the absence of victims to care for. My mom and sister were working at the world financial center, luckily not in the towers, and luckily they both got out. My sister will never be the same after that day. We lost friends in that disaster. I know I will never forget that day! No one should!

I haven't forgotten what happened, or the fact that the sorry excuse for humanity that planned it all still breathes. A law enforcement officer with the agency I worked for went down on Flight 93. I like to think he got his licks in on the terrorists before they crashed.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Sure would be nice if they got their act together there and got a proper memorial built.

Just sayin'.
