CUstomizing gas tank.

I am working on making a custom tank out of an old VN700 tank I have lying around. Let you all know how it comes out and will keep updates for those who might want too try this out themsleve.

customizing as in youre changing the shape or capacity? or just painting it a cool design/colour.

Some one here had a bigger tank on thier bike. I can't remember whom it was. Shortly after they wrecked thier bike.
Does anyone remember??

that was me i had the vulcan clasic i think it was off of a 1500...

i took my old tank and stuck it back on the bigger tank is in the shed its got a nice crease up to the fill cap it wont seal... rebuilt the bike now its in pieces till i get enough money for a another stator and a mechanical seal...

I was looking on ebay, there are a few tanks for good prices. I could not tell if they sold with a fuel cap.

Good luck on your repairs.

I have cut the top part of the tank off... It was all rusted out anyway. I have the bottom part still there. Due to the petcock and mounting points I am keeping stock. I am thinking of going with a coffin style.
