Aaaarrrggghh! that means it will be Tuesday at the earliest for mine!
That's ok, bike is STILL at the dealer so she will have a welcome home present when I finally get her back.
It's comforting to know that the dealer had to do a second engine pull trying to fix an oil leak. I gave up after three, that's why it is there. I think my bike will be banned from the dealer after this, but it should be good as new anyway so I won't need them anyway.. right?
Anyway, I'll report as soon as I can on how I mount the radiator cover with the chrome outer cover.

Hey FlaRider, You know she meant stainless steel. You shouldn`t tease Dianna so early in the morning, she hadn`t drank her first cup of coffee yet, and the brain was not fully engaged.

There was a Chrome outer cove made for a while by Highway Hawk. It has been discontinued years ago. If you can find one for under $200 buy it.

Nope, she has the same chrome outer cover that I have. We discussed a couple ideas at the KY Lake gathering about how to mount the new VN750.com cover without drilling holes in the chrome cover.

Sorry FlaRider, I guess I mis-spoke myself. My bad!

That is a fine looking chrome outer cover. Could you use clear silicone to "glue" the new grill cover to the inside of the chrome outer cover. That would seem to be more secure than glueing it to the outside, but would probably cover up the vn750.com logo etched on the border, IIRC.

How about double stick tape.

I got my chromed radiator cover for an insanely cheap price due to a mis-spelled Ebay listing *G*
My plans are to mount the stainless steel grill cover inside of the chromed cover. Right now I still have the original plastic cover on the bike with the chrome one over that. I might lose the original cover and just go with the chrome depending on how much thread I have on my bolts. Looking at the indentations for the existing bolts it should fit behind it quite nicely and only leave the issue of rattles to address. Ideally it would snug up tight enough where that would just be it, but I am not counting on that. Double sided tape I think would eventually have the adhesive melt after a while. I'm thinking a few well placed dabs of silicone or if need be, a few stainless clips should eliminate any possible rattles.
And yes, I will most likely lose the VN750.com etching along the top but that would have been pretty much out of sight anyway with my fairing and lowers.
