The wet leathers club...

So I got home from vacation last weekend and hadn't been able to ride since I got back. Well, even though there was rain in the area yesterday afternoon I thought I might be able to get out for a little bit between the rain showers. I take off and get about an hour out from the house when I decide to make the turn for home and what do I see but off in the distance right in the direction I have to go are a growing line of dark gray clouds. I got about 15 minutes down the road when it all opened up and rode the last 45 minutes in a driving rain with no overpasses to duck under to wait it out, (it wouldn't have worked anyway it rained the rest of the afternoon and evening). Man that's no fun, and I'm still drying out.

Yes, it's my mid-life crisis.

Iv ridin in the rain a lot. Like holy **** a lot. The worst was from michigan to virginia. I did 946.5 miles in two days. Close to 9 hours of that was on the hiway in the pooring rain. I had to git back to my ship before it got underway so there was no waiting it out for me, just kept on going. But i have ridin home from work 9 miles in the rain all the time, where the roads flud higher then the pegs. It suck but i dont have a car so my bike is my only way around. Needles to say i have very very good rain gear and boots.

Yeah, That last little spin in the wet convinced me to invest in some rain gear (and boot covers).

I was up there a few years ago for a business conference. I was there for 4 days. It rained non-stop for 3 of them. Then on the day as I was leaving the sun came out and it was beautiful.

+1 on the rain suit. Works great. Mine's a 2-piece, no leaks at all.

Tip: Put on the rain gear BEFORE it starts raining!

Garage
Yeah, a rainsuit in one of your saddlebags would have solved the whole dilema.

As they scouts say...Be Prepared.
