Man that sucks. What do you mean turn it back on after last time you needed it? You have to fill your reserve or something - its not automatic?

Explain please.

I believe he means..
The lever was already turned to reserve so he had used even the reserve amount, That means he was truly out of gas.
The petcock feeds off the same tank. Reserve is just a setting for the lower level feed.

BWAHAHAHAHA...:P:...LOL...LOL

now that chits funny and I don't care who you are.

As for MisterPisters question, you have ON and you have Reserve, if you don't switch your petcock back to on (if you keep it on reserve) it will use every last bit of fuel in your tank and a pushing you will go a pushing you will go HI-HO-DARIO a pushing you will go!!!

That surely does stink. I keep my baby on reserve all the time, only because I don't want a bunch of crud sinking to the bottom of the tank. Keep a good watch on my mileage, and whenever I know I'm gonna push it to the limit of the tank, I then switch off reserve and onto the ON position so I get the warning. Guess I'm just an opposite kind of guy when it comes to this type of thing.

I think that my petcock is faulty, cause when I run out of gas on on I get nothing out of reserve. I checked the filters out yesterday this are clean. The petcock is clean.

Are our tanks slanted enough that the crud settles to the rear preventing sediment from reaching the petcock?
