Lowering

My wife wants to take over my 97 750 it is a bit to tall. can it be lowered just a bit 1.5-2 " max. any ideas ?

A ton of us have done just that, either for a shorter rider or for the looks. I have installed lowering brackets in the past but went with 11" Dyna shocks that I picked up off Ebay for $60 shipped. I prefer the lower shocks of the Dyna for two reasons, looks and over all its a better shock than our crappy stockers.

I agree with Wiz on this one..also Progressive makes a 2 inch lower spring for the forks... lokks real sharp when you lower the back at the same time

If you're cool with the looks of the bike you may want to look into seat mods. There's a ton of threads on this site about them complete with pictured walkthroughs. If you have the dough for aftermarket seats, Saddleman makes one that drops the riding position about an 1 and moves it back about an inch. Its really comfy too...

will any 11'' shocks for a dyna work? ive also seen 10.5 and perhaps 10'' dyna shocks made to lower a dyna 1''.... will those work without rubbing?
