Speedometer

Wasn't sure what category to post this...
Still learnin' about this bike...
How accurate have you seasoned riders found the speedometer?
I just got back from a 140 ride and most of it was on the interstate. Keeping up with traffic, my speedo was reading 80 MPH while cars were easily passing me. Based on Google stats, number of miles between point A & B was off too.
Thoughts?

With the standard front tire, a round figure used on this forum is about 10% over actual speed. Some, like me, have gone to a larger front tire just to make the speedo more accurate.

I'm keepin' all the left over parts. I'm gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Yes it reads higher than actual speed and distance. Changing the front tire from a 100/90-19 to a 110/90-19 seems to mostly correct the speedometer and odometer.

I've found the speedo AND the odometer are off with OEM size tires. This seems a little strange it was designed and built that way since the mileage is 10% more than it should be as well. So my 27,000 miles is probably more like 24,500.
