Another idiot on a sport bike

So early this morning while I'm on my way to drop off the little one at Grandma's house, I was stopped at a red light and a guy on what I believe was a Ducati sport bike, stops behind me at what looked like in my rear view to be only inches from my rear bumper leaving himself no exit strategy if the car behind him didn't stop. When I take off, he stays right on my butt, only about 3 feet off the bumper, for about a half mile before finally threading the needle so to speak between my car and the car in the other lane to get around me and fly down the road weaving in and out of the lanes ahead.

The posted speed limit for the road we were on was 45 MPH and I was doing 55-60 MPH, but apparently this still was not fast enough for this moron that makes the rest of us riders look bad to other motorist. Apparently he really need to be where ever it was he was going, even if it killed him. And with the way he rides, one day it just might.

If something or someone had run out in front of me or anything had happened in front of me that would have caused me to slam on the brakes, this idiot probably would have ended up head first in my back seat after going through the rear window.

The only good thing I can say about this "Dumbass of the Day" was that he was at least wearing a FF, leather jacket, gloves and boots.

So you admit to speeding....

Riding a bike too close to a cars butt is not a good practice. Although I think the fact that it was a "sportbike" is not the cause. I have seen "idiots" on cruisers too and I would hate to start stereotyping idiots by what bike they own. The Harley List itself would be overwhelming............

Well, I have seen a few on other types of bikes, but 99.9% of the time the biker idiots around here are on sport bikes and usually range from 17 yrs old to 25 yrs old.

And yes, I was "speeding". Though I usually don't consider 10 MPH over the speed limit speeding as this is generally the flow of traffic, that and the cops don't really look for people doing 10 MPH over, it's kinda like a freebie they give you lol.

People who wear ATGATT, especially on sport bikes, too often feel like they're well protected so they can ride like this guy was and feel immune to injury. I'd rather be wearing no gear and riding defensively than with full gear and riding like a moron.
