Ever seen one of these on the side of the road?

I've seen several of them hanging in trees on the side of the road in Maryland and finally got around to googling to see what they were. They are part of a federal USDA research study on the emerald ash borer beetle which was apparently brought to the states by mistake (starting in Michigan I believe) and has caused millions of dollars in tree damage so far. You can read more here: http://www.emeraldashborer.info/.

Yeah, here in Michigan, alot/most campgrounds don't let you bring in your own wood for fear of bringing in that ash beetle and "infecting" the grounds.

I've seen some around here in KY too. Thought we were just decorating a little early for Christmas this year

Mom, I'm not wearing my helmet only for the purpose of taking this picture and
the background was digitally blurred to make it look like I'm going really fast.

Haven't seen them here in GA. Biggest problem we have here is palmetto bugs (those really big roach looking bugs) in the pine trees and misquotes. They are even worse in FL because of the retention ponds.
