todays ride

Let me preface this post by saying I wrote it all up and instead of posting it I previewed it and lost the whole stinking thing,by not submitting it.I'm old I'm tired and I have been on a ride of a lifetime today even if the last 60 to eighty were in a downpour, we started at my cousins house, I guess I started here, but anyway,we rode US23 south to the KY /Va border and turned back west to Pine Mountain at Whitesburg,KY Rode up Pine Mountain and turned Off on the Little Shepherds Trail that goes down the ridge for asbout12and 1/2 miles of 1st ,2nd and an occasional third gear ride to KIngdom Come State Park and then up the Cumberland river on 119 and back across Pine Mountain and headed for home on a different rte and found a major rainstorm to ride in all the way back,But a good day all in all. Here is a link to a photo bucket album that you can click on and look at some of what I got to see today,Denny

denny, I envy the roads you folks have to ride out there. The praries are pretty boring for riding bikes, if you like the curves. The rainstorm you rode through today was a time saving bonus. You needed a shower at the end of the ride anyway ! LOL

Nice trip Denny! Man, this is brutal...reading about everyone's road trips, while I'm sitting here feeling sorry for myself with no vacation time built up yet...
Seriously, I'm living my riding through you and everyone else right now, so keep it up! Great photos!

Good job! I'm planning a multi part "ride the wheels off" ride for Saturday. First leg is 85+ miles, 2nd is 110 or so, third is about 200. I got a LOT of riding to catch up on. I promise I'll try to snap pics...

thanks for sharing Denny!
where did you got your fairing, looks pretty cool on the vulcan, does it help with the wind or it's mainly for the look.

PEACE!!!

It was bought for a little different look than normal but it does help quite a bit with the air too,it seems to cause the air to go right over the top of my helmet and helped quite a bit in the rain yesterday although not nearly as good as larger windshield I am sure, and it is made By Maier plastics and is called a mini sport fairing.I picked it up on ebay,I will probably move it to an old CB 750 SOHC I am trying to get on the road which is a long way off looks like.
