My first post was an ouch post, So i thought I'd start over and introduce myself. I celebrated my midlife crisis with a 2005 Vulcan 750. It was like new and only 1450 miles. I did some research and the VN 750 sounded like the bike for me. I'm kind of a newb, had a Virago 920 back in the eighties and got away from it after getting married. So I didn't want too big of bike but one I could still keep up with my buddies. I think this one will do well for a few years at least. I'll try to get some pictures, but it is all stock.

You guys seem like a good bunch and I've already learned quite a bit from the forum. So thanks all!

Welcome Jim!! Indeed lots of helpful folks here! Out of curiosity, why didn't you go for a Corvette? I always thought they were the official "Mid-life Mobiles". Well you definitely (IMO) made the right choice with the VN750. You got a great bike and a great bunch of friends here!

I don't know if anyone suggested this yet or not (sorry if I'm repeating) but if its been a while since you've been on 2 wheels, you may want to look into a refresher course. They can be a very helpful reminder of some useful safety tips...
