riding season is starting (well for me atleast)

i know for many riding season may have started back in april, or even march.

unfortunately for me, an accident at work drug mine out till pretty much TODAY.

so in preparations for this riding season im finally gonna do a good once over on my bike (that i SHOULDA done last year)

this morning i installed new (K&N) air filters.
and installed new front signals (from AJcruzin)

about 2 weeks ago i eliminated the exhaust breather control valve, marbled the hoses and plugged the vacuum hose (found a HUGE split in it too, which was a major culprit in it not running right)

either tomorrow or tuesday, ill be going through pretty much ALL my conections and cleaning and greasing them all, checking the integrity of my stator an d relocating my R/R.

ill aslo be doing Coil Mod that fergy has a write up for, as i have an issue with this thing starting hot (have to crack the throttle to get it to start, and sumtimes it backfires like a # of C4 going off)

in a few weeks ill also be making up my saddle bag brackets as well

also going to be changing oil and filter this week too. got sum good ole amsoil :-D

wish me luck everyone and shoot me sum tips

That`s a tough blow to take man, but you have already put so much work into the bike that it is a shame to give up on it now, when you are almost ready to ride. I know it can be discouraging when things keep breaking, but take a day or two to reconsider the pros and cons of keeping the bike or selling it. You will make the right decision for you, whatever you decide to do.

well i may be reconsidering. gotta talk to my boss tomorrow to see if i can have my bike apart at the shop a few days (i work at a ford dealership as a diesel tech) shouldnt be a problem there, he loves me and is a bike enthusiast too.

then another guy at work who im really good buddies with has access to coated wiring, also good to about 600+*F, like the stuff that Hizz used on his frankenstator, and he said hed wrap it for me. so i may be keeping it, i still wanna get a sport bike, but i think that'll still wait a while

that's the attitude to have! diesel mechanic and a ford dealership garage, you should have it made! I'm in retail management and have an 8 x 10 metal shed and it wasn't stopping me! hope your riding soon!

haha ya. and thankfully i have someone who will rewrap it for me so i dont have to shell out the 140+ for a new stator, and should have a stator that'll last a long time without fearing it takin a **** on me

Hizz if ur around, can u send me a PM with the type of epoxy u used? that the only thing he needs info on, he already has 600+*F winding wire, and can get that 16 gauge u used basically
