Phil Garber Accident

For those of you who know, Phil is in the Facebook Vulcan 750 riders group. Not sure what his Id is on here. Him and his wife got hit and her in his own words
Quote:
For those who haven't heard, we had a motorcycle accident Saturday night when a driver cut us off. Diane has multiple fractures in her right tibia below the knee and chip out of her cheekbone. I have multiple fractures of my left wrist which has been stabilized by external fixation, my right pinkie finger experienced degloving and evulsion (was reconstructed with - incredibly - no apparent nerve damage). Also a broken scapula and 10 rib fractures all on my right side. And road rash.
Quote:
Diane's swelling has gone down a bit as of this morning. She's going for surgery on her orbital bone this aft.
Quote:
I appreciate your prayers, especially for Diane. Her very painful break remains untreated until the swelling in her leg subsides.... Read More
Quote:
I'm up and mobile, though obviously experiencing "minor discomfort" Yesterday was rough - first day without O2, IV and narcotics but this morning is much better.
Quote:
Phil Garber I just got discharged this afternoon....was in a world of hurt for a few days but getting a bit better each day. Please pray for Diane. It's day 4 since the accident and they haven't operated yet because the swelling in her leg hasn't gone down. She is very brave, uncomplaining and cheerful. I can't imagine living with an unreduced break for the better part of a week as she has
Hopefully things get better of course, and this will help others to keep their head in the lane, and roll safely.

I feel for you, Phil and Dianne. I only had to wait 6 hours for surgery on my leg last June. I can`t imagine being at four days, and still waiting. My prayers are with you. I hope you are younger than I am, and able to heal up quicker. If your x-rays don`t show significant healinging in 2 or 3 months, do some research on the "Exogen Ultrasound Bone Healing System", and ask your surgeon if you should be using it. I have been using mine for about a month now, but won`t know if it is working for another month, when I go in for X-rays. I am now at 48 weeks since dragging my left leg for 50 feet along a guardrail, and getting a nasty break. Phil if you shoot me a PM, I will contact you with any news about this ultrasound system, after the x-rays next month.

Does anyone know what nickname Phil goes by here on the forum? Is he a regular poster?

I`ll try to find him on facebook too, (I keep forgeting I have an acct. there now).
