Should I?

Ok so I mentioned it in one of my first post but I wanted to ask you guys what you think. The PO of my 93 Vulcan also has a 92 she wants to sell me. She can but really doesn't care to get the title for it. Reminds her of her Ex so she just wants it gone. Its got 23k miles on it the Ex drained all of the oil out of it when he decided he wasn't gonna bother bringing with him. It has a dead battery but should run just fine. Other than the lack of a title there is nothing wrong with the bike. I figure even if i can't manage a title for it granted the tins don't match or anything it would be a solid parts bike. It has the chrome shocks on the back as well as a windshield and highway pegs all of which mine don't. Best part about it is she is only gonna charge me 150 bucks for it seeings how I all ready bought the other one from her that is. Even if all i did was part it out I could remake a nice chunk of change off of it. Can anyone think of a good reason for me not to take the deal?

Its the dark blue/gray one. I almost like the color of it more than the one I got.

So anyways am I a fool for not already owning this bike or is there some major issue I might run into not having a title for it that makes it more of a headache than its worth.

If it runs good I wouldn't scrap it or break it down for parts.
Get a bill of sale from her and and a copy of the papers showing that she owns the bike
from the divorce. Then you file for lost title.
Then you can sell it to someone like you looking for a good bike to ride.

Well to be honest I probably would own it except getting the first bike was unplanned and I was tapped buying it and all the little things that go with your first bike. Payday comes Thursday so long as nothing unexpected happens I should be good to go to own my 2nd Vulcan. I like the idea of a signed bill of sale as far as getting a title for it. My brother was with me when i started to drive around on my 93 and sadly enough he was making me look bad how naturally he took off on it. Maybe if i do get a title i can turn around and sell it to him would be nice to have someone in the family to ride with. Well someone that knows my medical history and all just in case. But not till i have the chrome shocks and highway pegs off it at least.

Just wanted an opinion from you guys on the deal. Hell 3 weeks ago I wasn't even thinking of getting a bike, now i might own 2 before i even get a chance to get my license for one.

$150 is a steal, even in a worst case scenario and you use it for parts. If you can get it to run and clear the title then it's a complete win.

Ha! No need to ask. In fact, if anyone else sees a VN750 in that good of shape for $150, you already have my blessing in advance! As a matter of fact, I'll spring for the $150 if you buy and hold it for me. Uhh, where are you again???

And if you like the colors better, just swap out the fenders and tank with yours. Everything is interchangeable.

If she'll give you power of attorney you can apply for the title. $150 ? I'd already own it!
