Fire and Steel

$400.00 for the entire package. Sounds to good to be true to me. Since he will not ship out of state, can you be the "go between" to ship to Arkansas if this is legitimate?

Adding up the SRP`s he has listed totals $1970 plus whatever the saddlebags are worth, so perhaps a total of $2500. And he is selling for $400. Sounds to good to be true. Let the buyer beware.

Called him, He purchased his vn750 bike with 8100 mi for $2800 3 weeks ago, came with the kit, PO had started to put it together then stopped. This guy doesn't want the kit. The saddle bags were put on the bike, fairing never fully assembled. Has orig paperwork and several bags of nuts & bolts.
I can be a go-between if you want. I told him I would stop out and check it out.

Sorry, guys, this isn't too good to be true as I'm the guy who posted on craigslist. I didn't realize I could post on here or would have done so.

The story goes that I purchased a 2002 for $2800 three weeks ago from a gentleman who no longer has time to ride. It has 5460 miles on it and simply needed a battery. The bags were mounted but the rest was in a box. The fairing is partially put assembled with the headight, pockets, windshield, etc. Includes all mounting hardware, wiring harness, bolts, nuts, everything. It's all in like new condition with the exception of the saddlebags as they were mounted on the bike. There is a small crack in the lid of one of the bags but otherwise everything is good.

My reason for selling is I bought the bike to run around with my son who turned 18 and wanted a crotch rocket. Mama said the only way was if I got a bike and ran around with him. Being a kid of the late 70s early 80s, I wanted a bike styled like my old 750 Hondamatic or the LTD550 - not the stuff now days. I found the bike, bought it and the guy threw in the rest of the package.

I'm not touring with it, not running around on the highways, just the streets and a little highway riding. I like the wind in my face and don't care for the looks of the bags or fairing on the bike so it all goes.

It's not too good to be true, just a guy wanting to put this stuff to good use. Feel free to ask any questions.

Sold to a great VN750 forum member, bullwinkle...nice to know there are others in the last frontier who appreciate a Vulcan as much as I do!

Bullwinkle, you could flip the kit and make some profit without even unpacking anything. LOL!

Since the ad is gone, can you post some pics?
